Rose Madrid-Swetman has posted again, following up on her open letter to Mark Driscoll. She describes a positive, open meeting that took place between her, Mark, and some others last night.
As it turns out, I had coffee this morning with Rich, Rose's husband and co-pastor. He talked a bit about the meeting, and it does sound like a good, solid, helpful thing. This is a big deal.
Mark is not well known for meeting with dissenters, so I applaud him for taking this situation seriously. He's still the same theologically, but it sounds like he's making an honest effort to grapple with the way he uses his position of influence.
